SUMMARY
Dr. Rick C. Chen joined Family Foot and Ankle Physicians on August 1, 2012 In his final year of residency training, he served as the Section Chief Resident. While at Yale New Haven Hospital, Dr. Chen received extensive training in Charcot foot and flatfoot reconstruction utilizing the latest internal and Ilizarov/external fixation surgical techniques. He is well-versed in various plastic surgical techniques in the treatment of chronic diabetic ulcers and trauma-induced wounds. Dr. Chen is also trained in the conservative and surgical management of trauma-related foot and ankle injuries as well as many other foot and ankle ailments. Dr. Chen is a former competitive swimmer. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, cross-training, and playing guitar.
