Injections

We use injections with patients in two different ways. One is to inject a numbing agent that will put your nerves to sleep and prevent you from feeling pain. This will help our podiatrists perform an office procedure such as removing an infected toenail preventing a nerve from stinging to find the cause of pain. Second, injections are used to place a local steroid into an area of inflammation. Injecting a steroid in just one area allows your body to receive a large amount of steroids to heal faster.
