    Monthly Schedule Potential

    1. Monday: 7:15- TBD: Provider is in surgery most mornings. Afternoons consist of rounding (1:00) at ECU Health with provider. In the event the provider is in surgery through lunch, rounds may not begin until late afternoon. Estimated 4-5 hours of rounding. Physical requirements to meet walking the hospital facilities for that period of time.
    2. Tuesday/Thursday: 7:30 – 5:00. The provider is not in the office on these days, allowing you to manage the team, complete notes, surgery scheduling, medical records and miscellaneous for the provider you lead. One of these will allow for at least one-half day off a week and possibly a full day.
    3. Wednesday: 7:15 – 6:00. Provider is in clinic and you will work the clinic with an assistant MA. Quarterly you will visit a nursing home with the provider to perform routine foot care for patients.
    4. Friday: 7:15-6:00. Provider is in clinic, unless the provider was on call the previous weekend then is off and you will be off. In the event of on call on a Friday, then rounding at ECU Health from 1:00-600 or until completed.
    5. Saturday: 7:15-TBD: When the provider is on call once a month, you work the clinic at the office from 8-12pm. Then you move over to ECU Health for Rounding until completed.
    6. Sunday: TBD: Work during the on call weekend once a month. The provider chooses the time to round (3-5 hours).

    Responsibilities include:

    • Diagnose, treat, or prescribe treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, ultrasounds, bone density tests and laboratory test results
    • Perform foot, ankle, and related structure surgeries within the scope of practice
    • Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, and appropriate methods of foot care
    • Advise patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems
    • Record all diagnoses, treatments, and prescriptions
    • Debridement of wounds and treatment for limb salvage
